(Each year the City of Detroit receives a distribution of Michigan Transportation funds in accordance with Act 51, Public Act of 1951, as amended. Past experience has indicated that the level of expenditure required to maintain the Local Streets has been somewhat greater than the amount of funds received for this purpose.)
