Submitting reso. autho. Request to accept and appropriate the FY2014 to Firefighter Grant (AFG) Award. (The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded the City of Detroit Fire Department the FY2014 Assistance to Firefighter (AFG) Award for a total of $367,264.00. The Federal share is 95 percent or $349,776.00 of the approved amount and a cash match of 5 percent or $17,488.00. The grant period is 9/8/15 to 9/7/16. The Office of Grants Management has requested an extension. The Fire Department has recently identified a cost match and grant award approval is requested to allow the department to fully utilize the grant funds.)
